Startup Victoria’s Annual General Meeting is coming up quickly. In line with Startup Victoria’s constitution one third of the board will resign and put his- or herself up for reappointment. Startup Victoria’s board has also decided to increase the number of directors from 4 to 5.

The details of the Annual General Meeting are as follows:

When: Wednesday the 11th of November, 6pm
Where: Inspire9 (Level 1/41–43 Stewart Street)

If you are unable to attend, please make sure your voice is heard by submitting the Proxy Form two days prior to the Annual General Meeting. Full instructions can be found in the Proxy Form.

As a founding board member of Startup Victoria, Michelle is excited about what she can bring to the table in a third term. Her contributions have included:

  • Yr0: Part of founding Lean Startup Melbourne committee. Organisation of first Startup Week Melbourne.
  • Yr1: Founding of Startup Victoria’s membership offering including member coupon benefit set up.
  • Yr2: Founding and growth of Female Founders Committee and events.

I’m the CEO of bellabox, Asia-Pacific’s market leading beauty box established in 2011. We deliver bellaboxes to more than 40,000 subscribers each month.

Before launching bellabox I worked in London as Finance Manager at Dazed and Confused and was General Manager at Spin magazine in New York.

I’m blown away by the opportunity for startups in Victoria and Australia, my experience means I can assist in the challenging startup phase through to establishment of successful companies. We are on the cusp of cementing Australia, as a hub for startups however we need to push further. Activities in the US, Israel and New Zealand allow startups to thrive should motivate our initiatives.
